To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the famous Renault 4, the top-selling French car of all time, Renault has teamed up with Designboom, a leading website in the creative fields, to hold a design contest.
The aim of the “Renault 4 Ever” competition, which began on March 21, is to get graphics artists, architects and designers from around the world to apply their talents in an exceptional project. Their challenge? To come up with a new design for the Renault 4L based on the principles of circular economics: “nothing lost, nothing created, everything transformed.”
The initial response indicates that the contest is both popular – there are almost 500 entries – and very international, with participants from more than 60 countries!
The biggest surprises are the very high levels of participation in India, with more than 60 entrants, and the United States.
